Welcome to The World of Beer

Welcome to The World of Beer! After representing many things, such as a beer store and a rather misguided beer bar I have decided that a domain with a name as strong as this should have a higher purpose than for just purely commercial use. After all, money is not the key to everything although sometimes it does not hurt.. Rather than use the domain again for the enrichment of someone else's wallet I have decided to try to challenge and enrich the beer lover in all of us. More importantly while there are sites on the web dedicated to rating beers all around the world there are very few if any out there that just celebrate the very fact they were made to begin with and engage in knowing the very passion that they came as a result of.  The purpose of this blog/site/journal is to honor and discuss the culture of beer around the world as well as in our own backyard, where ever your backyard may be.

To tell you a little about myself, my backyard personally is in Tampa Bay, although I travel as much as possible to experience ales, lagers, and any other fermented malt beverages (and even a little wine here and there) in perhaps what might be your town. In Tampa Bay we are behind the times, but catching up so there is a lot to tell about the beer industry here so stay tuned to see what we have got going on. In addition to this, expect frequent posts in the next few weeks to document the trips and experiences I have already been on.
